Crown Princess Dana of Iceland, Duchess of Riga (Dana Elizabeth Catherine Sophia; b. 21 September 1983 in Riga) is the second child and firstborn daughter of Daniel III of Latvia and Queen Marianne of Latvia, née Miss Marianne Ashworth. She is the second in line to the Latvian throne. She is preceded in this position by her eldest brother, Crown Prince William of Latvia.
Dana is a graduate of the University of Cambridge in England, where she majored in Art History and minored in Latin. She is a supporter of education and anti-abuse charities.
The Crown Prince of Iceland and Princess Dana of Latvia began to date in 2004. They announced their engagement on 2 January 2008 and married on 29 December 2008. Their son, Prince Nikolas of Iceland, was born on 12 December 2009, while their daughter, Princess Irena of Iceland, was born on 29 April 2011.
